fgci.com has the lowest resin prices I have found. A local boat builder hooked me up with this one. He said use the boatyard resin with no wax. I also buy MEK (catalyst) from here and pay a hefty hazmat shipping fee. If you can get MEK locally the higher price will be offset by the lack of hazmat and shipping.

boatbuildercentral.com is where I got my cloth. They have a huge selection and low prices. Both of these places ship super quick.

I used Divinnycell H-80 3/4" thick cut into 1" squares wigh a scrim backing. Because of the favorable location and great price I used advanced-plastics.com. Installl with scrim side up. I used ATC-72 core adhesive but had to buy a 5 gal bucket but I have found many other creative uses so as not to waste it. It does require the same catalyst as polyester resin and when mixed has the consistency of thick mud and cures in about 4 hours. Apply it with a notched trowel like you would lay...

Composite plywood is really Coosa board. It is used for transomes, stringers, floors, or anywhere else you would use plywood. Coosa comes in several densities with the Bluewater 26 being the top end used for structural loads. It is 30% lighter than plywood and will not absorb water or rot. But is is pricy. One can use lighter but less strong Coosa board for seat frames, decking etc. It comes in thickness ranges from 1/4" to (I think) 1 1/2" and can be had in up to 4 x 12' sheets. Many...
