Thanks Jim! Not sure if there were any mounting holes or not. Someone hacked a huge hole in of the lid so im doing my best to figure out what everything looked like in 1969. Also just removed the old core. What a mess! Does anybody know what was supposed to go on either side of the big engine cover that mounts to the floor!

Anybody have any words of wisdom for putting the new core in? My plan is to do 2 layers of end grain balsa sandwiched with fiberglass. Using west system epoxy. Did they put tracking fins on these in 1969? Also going to make provisions for attaching my seats so I dont have to penetrate tje new core.

The later boats had single layer endgrain.

Why yes I am! Just finishing up the sanding so I can put my finish coat down inside.
