Here are some photos of our 18 ft Hydrodyne. We think it’s a 1965 model, is that correct? We cannot find the hull identification number. It has a 4 cylinder Mercury 120HP I/O. We have stored the boat for 10 years and are thinking of selling it. It ran fine when it was stored. Its located in New Hampshire.

    Thanks for your help.

This is and 1800 v-bottom, rare. 65 seems to early but I coud be wrong. The serial number plate were placed on the right side chine as you face the rear. It is on the inside about 6 to 12 inches from the transom, they were covered with tape and painted over. In the test phase of that boat I broke 4 ribs on my left side doing high speed turn. If you did not back off the throttle and set the turn befor getting back into the throttle the boat would take a outboard roll quite qucikly. It was a suprise for me.
I hope this has been of some help.

I've done quite a bit of research on these boats recently and I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure these are 1968's. 65-66 still had a very slight fin from the 50's and early 60's models down the gunwhale to the stern. The exact length will help a bit too. I think the 18'11'' is the 1800 Speed V which is what I have. I'm having a heck of time trying to fix it up with original hardware such as cleats and windshield. Attached is a brochure for the 68 I found helpful in identifying it. What type of engine do you have in it?
