    Early model Hydrodyne (Year Unsure)
Before my grandfather passed away he sold me his early model Hydrodyne for a quarter. I never had the chance growing up to go out in it with him, but I told him i'd love to have it and one day fix it up.
It would be my dream to "restore" her to her former glory and arrive at the dock during our family reunion to surprise everyone.
I am unsure of the exact year, model etc and was hoping I could get some insight from others here. Fortunately through the years he had held onto the original seats even though he didnt use them. This was his fishing boat, not cruising boat.
As per her history since i've been alive.......From the late 80's to early 90's she was used often. He fished on lake michigan every chance he had. Im not sure why he stopped taking it out but by the time i was old enough to go out it had been sitting idle. It sat exposed to the elements from approx 1994 to 1998 in Michigan. He brought it with him when he moved to Indiana and again it sat exposed to the harsh winters until approx. 2005. From 2005 to today I have stored it in a garage out of the weather. Ive been waiting for the time, money, and resources to accumulate enough for me to get her out and have a better look.

Please offer any advise or information you may have based on the pictures i'll attach.

Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to bringing updates as to any progress i make. IMG_0224.JPG IMG_0225.JPG IMG_0226.JPG IMG_0227.JPG IMG_0224.JPG IMG_0225.JPG IMG_0226.JPG IMG_0227.JPG

    Go here:
    http://www.hydrodyners.com/ads.php
    to ID the boat.

Go to the restoration section for articles on restoration that model.

Learn how to check the bottom and floor for dead or soft spots.

All of that is free so you can get started.
