The hull is the same but the instrument pod for the 20 was integrated into the top dack mold/layup for the 1985 model. the 1984 instrument pod was a seperate piece that was mounted to the top-deck as I understand it. I personally prefer the looks of the 85 and forward but the 84 instrument cluster can be worked on a lot easier I imagine. Dynebob has owned both and can probably shed some light. KevinB-
