It should be down in your neck of the woods. Todd at Twin Lakes marine re sold it to a guy who had an older 20 Open Bow which was brown. The brown one now resides with a member of the Ski Cats in Crivitz with a 225 Merc on it. The green 20 footer does not have that Evinrude on it, not sure what it has on it, but probably a Merc since Todd is a merc dealer.
Long time lurker but had to rely to this thread because the story sounds awfully close to my boat! I can't make out the registration# in your picture but here is a picture of my 'Dyne. The only part of the story that doesn't match is the year of the boat since mine is a 1991 as far as I know and based on the HIN. It is currently in Delavan, WI but I got it from a friend who lived in Waterford, WI. He bought this boat to replace a new Hydrodyne Grand Sport that he bought after getting rid of an older Hydrodyne outboard. He quickly got buyers remorse and decided that the new inboard wasn't as good as the old Hydrodyne. I can't remember the engine that was on it when he bought it but I know that he got the Optimax soon after purchasing the boat. Regards, Jay
Great looking boat, and welcome. I would love to see pictures of the interior. I think it is different from the current bow rider. jim
I can't find any pictures of just the interior at the moment so this will have to do but as soon as I do, I will post them.
Thanks for the pictures Jay. That is a rare and pretty boat. What is under the bow seat? Is there room for a fuel tank in there? I think that boat would look great with a cut down windshield. jim
Jim, Thanks for your kind words about the boat. There is a ski locker under the bow, you can see the door to it on the floor in the walk-through. I suppose you could fit a fuel tank in there but I never really gave it a thought. It is funny that you should mention the windshield because the top of it is just at eye level for me so I need to slouch in the seat or sit on the top of the seat back, which is what I usually do. I haven't been hassled but in WI it's technically against the law to sit on the back of the seat and the cops do like to write tickets on my lake.
A lot of windshields are like that. If I slouch, I feel like I am sitting in a bucket. The Rock Aqua Jays had some Nautiques with cut down and tinted windshields. They looked really cool and gave the boats a whole new and more modern look. They could look right over them. Your passenger could probably still get down behind it on a cool day and it would solve your visability problem. jim
