Thanks Mark, our team had a fun time this weekend. We snapped a tow leader on our triple rig pulling end pyramid which caused a jerky pull so we lost 4 people unfortunately. Would have been nice to end it with triple 4 highs. Pretty proud of our progress in our 5th year in D1.
After the show while I was checking out the triple rig on the trailer, they showed me the snapped leader line. When you look at the size of that rope, it is hard to imagine it could snap... maybe the rope had rotted or deteriorated a bit. It is one very thick rope. Or - maybe the Rock Aqua Jays cut it... (Just kidding!). The Must-Ski drivers were very patient, and sat and discussed rigging, driving technique, the benefits and drawbacks of ICON controls and myriad other topics that interest a hydrodyne junkie gear-head like me - and they were very nice and very kind to chat with me. (My favorite part of Nationals is talking to the drivers and looking over the boats... although the skiing is great too!). Speaking of the Must-Ski triple rig....
