This is a very original untouched Crosby runabout. Probably one of the coolest little boats I have ever seen. Fin style trailer, low cut windshield, walk through seating, Thunderbolt ignition 58 Mercury. My son obviously loves it too. It belonged to my uncle who has had it in his barn storage in Arizona for years. He bought it new way back when. I am hoping to find some info on its year, model, etc.

    Thanks,

    JB

Very cool boat! From the pictures it looks to be in great shape. Nice to see that your uncle took care of it and kept it original.

Parts for the motor may be hard to come by so you might want to consider buying a matching old motor for parts. Sometimes you can get lucky by just walking to the back of a storage area of a marina.

Were you able to find the HIN (hull identification number) or a manufacturer's plate?

Look at today's posting by Markbano of Sbano's boat.

Looks like a mid to late 50's Crosby Sportsman.

    Check Fiberglassics.com for info.
