I have a twin rig that uses a pair of Merc 150 hp straight 6 engines. Both motors run CW props. Anyone know if one lower unit can be converted to CCW? I could flip the shift dog in the lower unit but then the reverse gear would be used as the forward. I know the V6's have special lower units but I can find nothing on the straight 6's. Thanks.

It cannot be converted. It is a different casting. You can convert a V-6 lower to run on an inline by relocating the front stud I am told. I have never done it. You might want to run two V-6 lowers.

I've got a ccw lower for a V-6 I am selling if you are interested.

Bob, what is the ratio and is it a 20" shaft?
