Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne You are correct. The Merc page does do a decent job of explaining props. According to them, the bow lift comes from larger rake angles, not necesarilly cup. But if the cup is on the outer portion of the trailing edge or out at the tip, then the cup will increase the rake, and accordingly increase the bow lift. So it makes sense that cupping only on the inner part of the trailing edge would help decrease rake, and then decrease bow lift. Why can't they just make a water ski prop that's already set up right so I don't have to try to figure out one more giant set of details!!!
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne The number of customers for ski props that would know the difference is so small that it would not warrant designing and marketing the prop. Plus, now you will get it just right. jim
Is it possible to adjust the trim sensor? My I-command gauges show that I am at 65% trim when it is all the way down. I would guess it's adjustable, but haven't looked into it yet.
I have heard good things about White Bear Boat Works, in, of course, White Bear Lake, MN. They are technically a sailboat shop, but it might be worth checking in with them.
