So, I was out at a job site I manage where the state stores a bunch of miscellaneous items at, and came across this flat-top that the state's pollution control agency must use for river/lake sampling/surveying (probably a perfect platform for that). I guess being a taxpayer makes me a partial owner.... No idea on the year, but assume it would be a mid-70's or so with the vintage of outdrive that was on it. It looks to be in pretty good shape, but I didn't do any tapping to evaluate the hull. I have to say, seeing one in person, they're a lot bigger than I pictured in my head - must have been in that 22-24 range if I had to guess, but the long flat deck might make it appear larger as well (seemed longer than our ski team 20's anyway). Thought you guys might like it. Next time I'm out there, I'll see if I can some pictures with a better camera.
Cool. What general area is this located? Did it have current registration? Tires look to be in good condition, so I assume it still gets used.
That particular site's in St. Michael, but happens to have a big pull-barn that the MPCA acquired from the city, so they store a bunch of stuff out there that they don't have room for at the St. Paul headquarters. The boat's been housed there for a while and it is sometimes gone, so gets used. I'm just out there infrequently, and not typically in the building, so had never looked all that close at it before. I didn't look at the registration that close, and can't tell from my picture.
