    To do it right the hull needs to be cut down and a flat deck like the 18 installed, including cutting the "wings" off the transom and use a flat transom. You would wind up with a 19+ foot boat with a 20 ft title. AND, be way cool.

    I will guarantee it if I get to choose the engines!! :yahoo:

    You would not be the first to buy a twin that you don't really need. If you are going to get impractical about the purchase don't make any attempt to be sensible, just go for it.

    I have seen an 18 with two 175 hp Merc V-6's on it. That is about 400 lb each. The driver owned the boat and drove for the Alton IL team. They had a 20 with a single on it. I just had to ask why he had the twins on the 18 instead of the 20 and he said that he needed to tow a kite and needed the power and he preferred to drive an 18. I saw him tow a big pyramid in the show.

    Needless to say the boat rode pretty low in the water, but like I said there is nothing practical about the whole idea.

    So, now did I start you thinking??
