Well.... Looks like we are the "Happy Birthday" Forum again. Thanks Bob, there goes that song in my head againo_O. As a seasonal petition, this is a "Happy Holidays" Forum to all and we'll get this exchange up and running as the winter projects show up.

I second the motion. Time for the up or down vote. As an alternative, we could start another thread.

Happy Birthday to all and an incredibly merry Christmas as well.

Bryan, do they make you work on Christmas Day?

If so, then catch up on New Year's Day. Please make a resolution to post a bunch of pictures and videos of your twin rigged canoe...showing your sheer brilliance on the motor mount that ties into the hull floor and supports the tow pylon and the ring down low in the center for pulling barefoot acts.

There used to be a 14' aluminum fishing boat that I saw on the way home from work a few years ago. It sported a pair of Merc 20 horsepower outboards on the transom. Plus you possess a great degree of intellect. This is how I know that you really do have this twin rigged canoe and that you are just being characteristically humble.

I PM'ed the most active of the 3 administrators about the "happy birthday" crap. I suggested having a separate area for happy bdays. I don't want the threads that are watched the most to be driven down by BS. When I click on to this forum I want to see Hydrodyne stuff - and what members are doing with their boats.

When I was a kid I put a 5 HP and a 5.5 HP motor on the 12' aluminum boat that my dad had. I did this because the ski show had a Dyne with twin motors. That was a fun rig to drive. I tied the motors together for steering but had to control both throttles independently. I eventually joined the ski show and finally got a crack at driving the real twin rig. Once you drive a Dyne there is no going back.

I 3rd the motion. No more Bdays in the new posts. Have a separate window or area on the homepage for that if it is that imprtant to the owner of this site.

Can't provide a motion Bryan (guess I already started this) but can we some how keep the restorations and other pertinent info as a priorty over the Happy Birthday (S#!t there it goes again in my head?, not DyneBob's Fault). Please re-think if possible.

Thanks for all you do and Happy Holidays,

Regarding my last post. All in fun and no offence intended. However, Please:), re-prioritize the birthday stuff, it is not really relevant to what is exchanged here IMHO. Happy Holidays! KTB.

How/Where are you guys still seeing the birthday stuff?? It was moved to its own forum (per suggestions) several months ago. The only thing that appears in that section is the birthday posts (a lot of people were opposed to getting rid of them entirely), which is now in its own section that you don't even have to read or look at ever. It won't affect any other posts or sections. You should only be seeing it as a subsection of the Beach forum.

Are you guys seeing something different?

Thankfully I have enough seniority to be off on Christmas. I've actually been off for 12 days. :D :D

Brian - the Bday stuff is coming on the "Latest Forum Posts" section on the lower right of your home page. If you have moved it to Beaches or whatever maybe it is just taking time and posts to clean/clear out. Thanks for being responsive to members and Merry Christmas.

Ahhhhhh! Gotcha. That one I don't know if I can fix. I didn't even stop to think that it might be posting them there. Hmmmmmmm......let me see what I can do about that.

Think I fixed it. It was removed from the "New Posts" link at the top of the forum, but I never thought about doing it on the home page. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Now to fix the pesky "Total Members" on the homepage that's off by 11......don't even know where to start on that one. Ha ha!
