Ok, so I am picking up a customers boat the other day and see an old hydrodyne sitting under a tarp behind an old cabin. Doesn't look to have been in the water for quite some time. The engineS (twins) look to be mid/late 80's Evinrude brand. The interior of the boat has been removed in total. There is nothing left in the boat, no seats/carpet/etc. It is on a trailer, but nothing I would trust to go very far. I called the owner of the property and inquired about who owns the boat, and he is going to get back to me with a price/if it is for sale. Without knowing much at all about the boat, what should I look for and how much should I expect to pay??? The search continues.........
Pictures would be helpful. Does it have a hull identification number stamped in the transom on the aft right hand side? Does it have a raised flat floor? Do you plan to do the work yourself? It will no doubt need floor, stringers, and transom provided it is a raised floor stringer boat. jim
I'll see if I can go out tomorrow and snap some pics. I couldn't believe it when I saw it sitting there.......I've had a fire burning in me to find a Dyne for the past few years!
