My 1989 Hydrodyne Dyne Comp has lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland since I brought it home from the Spencerville factory. It is still runnning strong with the original 1989 200 hp Yamaha V6 that the factory installed. It was a great thrill to pick it up directly from the folks at the old schoolhouse. Not to many Hydrodynes here in Maryland, but a few. We do mostly slalom, barefoot, and family recreational skiing. A few of us would like to start a ski show club but there is just no experienced show skiers in the Delmarva area. We have a lot of show offs but no real show sking knowledge. I have enjoyed reading and seeing all that is available on the Hydrodyners forum. If anybody travels this way to the Maryland area and wants to ski a little, please contact me. I have attached a few photos of my Dyne.
We had an 83 degree day (10/9/11) here on Maryland's Eastern Shore. My wife and I took the Hydrodyne out on the Choptank River for a little spin thinking it could be the last really nice day for this year. A few people were skiing but just a few. I have attached a few photos of the 1989 Hydrodyne - Yamaha combination from Sunday 10/9.
I enjoy seeing Hydrodyne boats on this sight. I hope you can enjoy several recent photos of my 89/200 Yamaha. I bought this boat new right out of the Spencerville factory. It now has towed three generations of my family as you can see. (grandmother, daughter and granddaughter). Photo of three generations taken 8/25/13 on the salt water Wye River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Wow! Is that the original gel coat and interior? You have a lot to be proud of there. Long may your Dyne make waves! Excellent color choice as well. Keep up whatever you are doing-including doing what the driver and Dyne do best...pulling successive generations of smiling skiers!
