Thanks Jim. And thanks to you and all the other Hydrodyners who helped me over the last year.

MY dream boat still remains the 18' twin rig,, but this one I can slide by the wife.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

I can understand that. After reading most if not all of the posts on this site from the beginning, my conclusion of how to do that right is to start with a new one.

When you get ready to do that, I have some ideas of how to get the center of gravity a little more forward without adding ballast. Ballast might still be necessary, but I think it should be minimized.

Also check out the 90 hp Yamaha carb motors. I don't know if they are still available, but they would be perfect and they only weigh 270. My neighbor has one and they are great motors.

Hi Jim, not sure if I agree that a new wife will let me have more boats than my old wife. I have two at the moment...

So far, old wife still has ballast under control and in the right spots. But I would appreciate any advice as she is only 28 and I'll probably need your suggestions one day so best get them now while were talking about it.

Any chance a post has been edited or deleted or were you really talking about changing wives and looking after their ballast

Walk on water, lovely boat. By chance did you have anything to do with the Ken White tribute. That was really well done and a bloke I would have loved to meet.

I like the look of the twin rigs, but I don't think they are for me. I've seen tripples. Why have two when you can have three? :good: There are a few problems for me though. A good Dyne hull is lots more affordable now that your dollar has tanked. Importing to Australia is pretty practical at the moment but the three 250HO's would be a bit expensive at RRP of about AUD$30k each (USD$28.5K) here. Wonder what they are in the US? Even if I could afford it (which I can't) I'd only use it a few times a year but what a blast!

Still envious though of those that have them. I wonder could I get matrix to make me a tripple Sorrento Outboard (search my old posts for pictures if interested)

Ghind, are you OK? :? 8)

I had a friend that created a loose leaf binder with the title---"what I know about women". All the pages were blank. So, since I represent that remark, I think you need to look elsewhere for any advice in that area.

Finally got the boom on the boat. Boom worked really good, had a couple people barefooting on it and had some little kids skiing on 1 and 2 skis. Only bad part of having it of the 17.6ft dyna ski is that the boom is set so far back that if someone was to go shortline they get alot of spray at the knees ( only when doing things at slower speeds). I think im going to buy an extension to get farther away from the spray. Here are some pictures.

Looks like mine....except my passenger seats a swivel and motors a 150 etec. Im looking to do some upgrades (hopefully) next year like putting in the Ikon digital throttle. The etec 150 is great for power but my kids tend to trick ski/swivel ski and its hard to hold at the lower speeds (i seem to have alot of throttle drift). Hopefully the digital throttle controls will allow for better control.
