Hoping to get some group thoughts on installation of a tracking fin on my 1970 20' Flat Top

A beast in a good cross wind and slides through corners ;-)

Does anyone know if they were ever standard? Thoughts on placement?

The 18 ft fin is 53 inches ahead of the transom if memory serves. I would go a little more forward.

Not saying that it's a bad idea but, I have yet th see a flattop out there with a proper trailer that would accomodate a fin. If you are going to add one, make sure you have the clearance on the trailer cross members and the axle travel.
