Try Pete at Dyna Ski. I believe he still has a couple of used ones for sale.

It would be tough to duplicate one, and costly. The top cap would have to be machined as you can't buy it anywhere.

The problem is , it would cost more to ship it than you'd pay for a used tri-pod style pylon. I just sold a stock cowling for a 300XS Merc to a guy in Miami Fl. and it cost $200.00 to ship it due to the size of the box it went in.

If you'd buy the newer 3" straight pylon from Pete orJohn @ Dyna Ski they could ship it in a cardboard tube quite inexpensively.

I personally like the look of the tri-pod pylon on the 18's This one I had powder coated fau chrome and it's placement would be better for pulling big loads but would hamper interior room which on the 18 is limited enough. 003.JPG

    Bob,

I like that one. I have the seats as originally installed in the I/O with a back to back on the drivers and a double observers set. That is seating for four (which is plenty in an 18) with additional seating on boat cushions. That style tows much better and I use the area behind the pylon for gear. It keeps it out of the way. An I/O pylon like mine works well too. Availability could be a problem, but they should be easy to fabricate. The top piece is an easy job with a lathe.
