My '74 Dyne has no NAV lights or cleats. I'm not saying that's bad or good, other than to say, that's the way I'll leave it. The funny thing is, is that the manufacturer's plate refers to the boat being able "to accomodate....navigation lights". I guess this was an option back then? Kevin
Let me see if I can put this in perspective: I started skiing in 1954 behind a cedar strip rowboat with a 16 hp Johnson SD-10. I rebuilt the motor from a basket case. In 1957 Mercury came out with the Mark 75 which was a inline 6 with 60hp. I skied behind a 14 foot Thompson two cockpit (just like mine) with that motor on it and it was the hottest thing around. Actually the boat was called a 14, but it measures about 13 ft 9 inches. The above all took place in the Upper Peninsula of MI and northern WI around Land O Lakes. The 18 Dyne seems like a Ferrari compared to those boats with or without lights. The less weight it caries, the better it handles. Mine came with cleats and lights. I removed the cleats because they were in the way and I have never used the plug in lights. Some of the boats were sold pretty basic because they were used only for skiing. jim
