And here I thought I was alone out here..only to stumble on this fantastic site. I've owned this boat for a few years now and have learned more about it by visiting this site than I have in the past 3 years. The guy I bought it from swears it is in original condition. I have never seen one with this interior and was wondering if any of you have.
Oh yes...that looks very original for the mid 70s. Here's my neighbor's dyne with the same interior, only blue.
Pictures of this very boat have been posted on this website in the past. Prior owner, perhaps. I think it is original. Some of these boats were dolled up per the specific request of buyers. I don't think there are a lot o f them like that but I have seen some.
I've seen this interior set-up before but always thought it was some type of aftermarket conversion. Even the seats in these two boats are not quite the same. (Rolled and pleated material is different.) Still wonder if they were retrofitted at some time. Bob
This model has been discussed here before and has a name. I think Daniel may remember the model name. jim
I think they we're called the Imperial model. They came from the factory like this. My 79 still had the pad on the inside when I found it last year and I did a little research. If I remember correct I asked Tom when I talked to him.
Check out this link, it is an ad that was sent in on the imperial in 2006. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=129&p=435&hilit=Imperial#p435 Daniel
