I might be getting a 18ft dyne that needs the transom rebuilt. For a normal transom on this boat, can it handle a 200hp engine?

The current owner wants to rebuild it him self. I might be more incline to have Boats by John do it instead.

    Dwight,

I had John @ Dyna-Ski replace both the transom and floor on my 18 foot twin rig project.

He went with a 3" thick transom to handle the weight and load of the twin 175 h.p. Black Max's.

He really does beautiful work !!!

If you have it redone I would suggest you have an extra layer of plywood added to the standard transom.
