No, they are gray with a diamond pattern.

It just occurred to me that the edelbrock carb may be an automotive unit. Check the model with edelbrock and determine if it is a marine carb.

It is not safe or legal to run an automotive carb on an inboard boat. They do not vent properly and the throttle shaft seals do not meet marine specs. They can't be converted either, at least not according to Holley.

I will find out, the carb looks brand new so I hope its marine but who knows. Edelbrock does make marine carbs right?

I don't know the answer to that.

I think seats like in the GaDyne I/O are available, or at least a good copy. There is a possibility if you like them.

Those look similar to the carb on the boat so that gives me hope. I think we are going to reupholster the ones that are in it from a dull gray with diamond pattern cushion to the bright white I am seeing on a lot of hydrodynes. It will have 4 seats, backs facing each other I think.

I have had trouble getting the title in my name but it is finally done! If I restore this boat to pristine condition and assuming the economy is better in 3 years or so, what will this boat be worth? Would it be worth more with the original I/O or converted to OB? There is some rust in one of the cylinders so I fear the original motor may be a goner.

I doubt that you will recover your investment either way. I would only restore it to use it.
