    Hey Jim!

That's great stuff. Really enjoyed it. I would love to fly with your son, although I suspect that I would quickly be airsick...

I've flown my neighbor's Pitts Special. He told me that the Pitts has never had a structural failure in its history. I tried to see if I could break it but all I did was make myself really sick!

My airplane is presently in Indiana having a new autopilot installed, among other things. That would make this a perfect time to finish my Hydrodyne, since the hangar is roomy with the Cherry Six out of there. Unfortunately, I don't have it back yet. However, I did see the boat in person last week and the work that has been done looks great. Right now it is being sprayed with a polyester resin/talc primer. The areas that were sprayed with a standard urethane primer were stripped and are being re-primed with the polyester resin because, due to the age of the fiberglass on the boat, there are areas that really need the benefit of this special primer. I'm hoping to have the boat before February ends but we'll see....

    Thanks for sharing the links/pictures!

Here's a few pictures of my bird. How does it relate to Hydrodynes?

It is how I intend to get up to Northern Wisconsin on weekends with the kids to play with the Hydrodyne. Call it the Hydrodyne express, if you will. It is also the Hydrodyne's roomate in the hangar!

    Best,

The work on the boat sounds good. I have had some issues with hairline cracks in the paint on the fore deck from crawling on it. I don't worry about it they are hard to see. I like the plane. I have made that trip to northern WI many times in a light plane starting in 1958. Watch that big tower in RHI is has been hit several times. My son is in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates for their airshow then on the Australia.

I will post some more pictures and links.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Most of the time I fly LL10 direct SIMMN direct CESSI direct D25. So I stay west of RHI. However, from time to time I've been sent to RHI.

Let's see. It is a 7.5 hour drive, longer on Friday nights. I can make it up there in 1 hour fifty minutes, give or take, in the Six. D25 (Manitowish) is just a hop and a skip from the family summer place. Can't beat it!

Here is a photo of the opening pass from the new Tinstix of Dynamite act. My son is in the Pitts and Jurgis in the Sukhoi. The act was very popular in 2006 and continues in 2007.
