I have seen an Allison that was rear ended while on the trailer. It broke the swivel bracket on a big Merc, but did not crack their aluminum reinforced transom. But then the boats cost well over $50,000 with a 175 Optimax.

According to John, he will now be offering all composite construction in any new Dyna-Ski using something called Coosa board which replaces all the plywood. About a $2000 upgrade over wood. There is also a replacement for the balsa core, but I forgot what it is called. He did also say he could replace transoms and floors in older boats with the composite material.
