    Hello fellow Dyners and Dyners-to-be

If you are signing up for a Hydrodyners.com forum account, and are using a Hotmail/MSN email address, you may not receive the activation email! This is due to various known issues with Hotmail/MSN.

We require that the activation email be returned to verify that you are actually a human being, and not a spam bot. :) Our methods for posting and signing up for an account are so effective, that Hydrodyners.com has never had a single piece of spam make it to the forum, nor a single spam bot able to activate an account with us. There are dozens of attempts each day, but none have ever been effective.

We have been in contact with Microsoft's Hotmail/MSN technicians, but they are, for the most part, relatively unwilling to work with server owners at resolving Microsoft's problems.

The safest bet for receiving your activation email is signing up for an account using a non-Hotmail/MSN email account. After you receive your confirmation email, you can then change your email address for the forum (under your profile) to your Hotmail/MSN account, if you so desire. *Note* Canging your email to the Hotmail/MSN address may not guarantee receipt of email messages from the forum, such as private message notifications, etc.

If you must sign up using a Hotmail/MSN email address, please take the following steps prior to signing up for an account:

    1) Open your Hotmail/MSN Options (in webmail)
    2) Click on "Safe and Blocked Senders"
    3) Click on "Safe Senders"
    4) Under "Sender or domain to mark as safe" type hydrodyners.com
    5) Click "Add to List"

You should then sign up for a Hydrodyners.com forum account.

Unfortunately, you're not out of the water yet. Even with taking the above precautions, you still may or may not receive the activation email. We love you Microsoft! :good: Be sure to check both your Inbox, and your Junk Mail folder. For reasons unbeknownst to me, certain emails sent to our test Hotmail accounts still managed to make it to the Junk Mail folder, even though we were listed as safe senders.

If you have taken the above steps and have still not received your activation email, please either make a quick post in this forum: viewforum.php?f=10&st=0&sk=t&sd=d&start=0 (that is the only forum in which unverified guest users may post), or send a quick email to admin at wswd.net, and we will be happy to activate your account manually. We basically just need to know that you're a real person, and not one of the dozens of Russian spam bots that visit us and try to spam the forums on a daily basis.

    Hope that helps.
