I just came across some pictures that my fiberglass finisher had Emailed me back in 2006 which show the work he was doing on the dash (I want to say "instrument panel" but I guess that might be more aviation terminology). I thought I'd post them for the heck of it.

The interesting thing of note here is that you need not live with the gauge placement that existed before the restoration. We cut plywood circles just smaller than the existing holes, wrapped them in resin-soaked fiberglass, and pushed them into the holes. then we re-drilled new holes where we wanted them, using cardboard placeholders as guides.

Attached are some pictures that my finisher - Bo Walsh (who sadly passed away right after finishing my boat) had sent to me by Email in 1996.

I actually ended up not using the Amp gauge in the center, bottom location because that is where my Mercury Smartcraft module was later installed.

    Enjoy.
