Take a look at this add. The pictures are at the top and are thumbnails. I'll be kind and say it is really different. http://www.antiqueboatamerica.com/ab_list_boatNew.asp?Left=ForSale&Type=ViewBoat&BoatId=26486 jim
Have you noticed that a lot of the 18's came equiped with a modified Morse inboard shifter? I modified one further to put a trim switch in the handle for the I/O. jim
That boat is called the Imperial by Hydrodyne. TwinRig sent me some old ads that I have not put up yet and they list that one as the super deluxe model of the tournament skier. Daniel
Our boat originally was built with only three seats. The original rear facing seat looked like the current operators....just was not a back to back design. The second throttle was then located on the port side where it was easy access from the rear facing seat. I will dig and see if I can find some pics of it as it was built. The current operators seat is the original, we just had it recovered when we had the other seat made. This boat was surely decked out when new because the alumni at the academy have no shortage of funds. Thanks for the info!
That must be an older model because I/O in the ad has a different engine hatch than mine. The red one in the ad must be around a '69 due to that hatch style. In most of the ads for the Imperial model the interior matches everything including the top deck. Being that mine is a 1976 the seats and the carpet don't match the deck surface. Mine has white seats and blue carpet, it just screams bicentennial.
