How is the floor mounted

    Hiw is the fiberglass floor in the front mounted.
    Is there wood underneath...... see picture of the emty inside of the boat

    Hans,

    Please see my comments in this thread about using "end grain" balsa like the newer boats:

    viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1508

    The balsa is laminated to the outer skin and the inner skin with polyester resin which is the same resin that the fiberglass boats are built with. The end grain pieces of balsa are dipped in resin before they are installed.

    End grain means the grain of the balsa is vertical.
