The my stripes are 6 inches wide (the email indicates 6.125), and approx. the same distance appart. The other measurements (1,2,3, and 4...1a, 2a, 3a, and 4a) are from the bow to the port (passanger side) and bow starboard (drivers side), to get the diagonal layup. Measurements 8 and 9 are the diagonal length of the stripe accross the bow, need to give an additional 10 to 12 inches for the lap down the side. If you make the marks up the sides in pencil and layout the stripes in 3M blue masking tape it should check in to spec., before having the decal material cut Hope this makes sense, Kevin
Understood all this but the width size are not the same from driver to left ( as per measurement) It goes from 6 to 11 for the firs layer and from 6 to 9 from the second layer. Hi Michel: IMHO your over thinking this. If you have a decal shop cut you the material at 6 inches with about a foot extra in length for each stripe, make the reference marks up each side of your boat with a pencil, lay the decal material (with the backing in place) on the marks, and check the distance between the stripes (should be ~6 inches), adjust your pencil marks as needed so 6 inches is achieved between the stripes, apply and enjoy. The transfer of the decals to the hull is another chapter/discussion, but not as complicated as the side decals. Take care, Kevin
HI KEVIN I made the measurement on the boat with a chalk rope and the stripes are fully 6 inches from right to left My understanding from pictures was completely wrong with a false visual effect from the pdf pictures. So the measurement are completely right....... I ordered the blue and red stripes accordingly. Thanks to the forum and share knowledge.
