That is great historical information. Is your boat the same hull as was used in the worlds fair? If so, it deserves a complete restoration. I have searched and search for my pictures taken at the WI Dells show in the late 60's or early 70's. They had twin rigs towing and Hydrodyne jump boats that went over the jumps. jim
On the Tommy Bartlett site it says that the Bartlett show was at the 64 NY worlds fair. I wonder if it is a Bartlett boat that you have and they were sponsored by the Florida Citrus Growers at the fair? jim
It was at: http://www.tommybartlett.com The specific page is: http://www.tommybartlett.com/images/Media/TBS/Show Timeline.pdf jim
My brother just ordered a bunch of pix from the ski show at the fair. I hope to get them to you soon after they arrive
I found some more Hydrodyne @ World Fair shots last year on the internet.. Attached.. Some years later, (1968 I think) my dad also saw the show in Mexico city while at a conference - same boats, but single 125 Merc powered - he brought back some slides and said 'why in the hell don't they make boats that pretty here in Oz?' I had to agree!!!!
Skip can also reproduce a jump boat if anyone wants one. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_surprised.gif" border="0" alt="Rock On" title="Rock On" />
