My latest Dyne resto boat came with an 81 Johnson 150, which appears to need a seal kit in the lower unit (fluid milky brown, but no shavings on the magnetic plug). Two questions:
    1. Any mail order recoomendation for the seal kit?
    2. Is it worth trying to do this job myself? I'm very mechanical, and have done lots of water pumps, but if speacial tools are required to pull it apart I may be better off getting the marina to do it?
Ok, that's 3 questions, but any input appreciated.

I did my 1995 a few years ago and it did not require special tools on the prop shaft as I recall. I don't remember about the shift shaft. You should definitely get a manual for this job.

Check the seals on the drain and fill plugs first.
