    Good Morning

I am not familiar with how this web site works, but will be able to add information about Hydrodyne boats.
My first Hydrodyne was a 1964 15’ foot with a 40 HP Evinrude and later up to a 1966 60 HP Evinrude on the back with a TaylorMade three Point Ski bar.

I noticed in the past questions that someone wanted to know what the hole was in the front of the 1500 Hydrodyne between the seats.

Originally the boat was delivered with a rubber stopper in place to keep out the water. That part of the boat was part of the flotation setup if it became swamped a long with flotation foam up inside the boat gunnels.
The seat arrangements varied with mine having two front upholstered seats which I rebuilt many times and back matching seats hiding the battery and gas thanks.

The boat was rated for max HP of 75, in 1964 but will take a 100 HP with not problems. The engine weight is the same and I ran a 100 Johnson HP for about 10 years with a top speed of over 40 mph (It was an old engine).

I have just bought a 1974 in line 6 I/O 18’ in very good condition. AS a young boy (14) I use to ski behind a 1968 in line 6 I/O 18’ with a top speed of 50 mph. Remember, this boat was bought for skiing and not speed. Speed could be increased by changing props.

I am now looking for pictures and will post them in the near future.
