    hey all,

totally unfamiliar with hydrodyne boats, so pardon the potentially trivial questions

i had a boston whaler squall that was sitting on the trailer for close to a year, after sitting in a backyard for decades. it would have been a fun project, but i had no garage. so i found this gem on craigslist and decided to see if the guy wanted to trade. so with no cash involved (except for gas to get it), i traded up for this beauty.

the only things i know about it are it has a 40hp johnson, it's from 1963, and it floats. so what model do i have? a 1600? and is anyone familiar with the engine that's on it? i can't find detailed specs easily. i'll try and find some serial numbers now that the weather is a bit nicer.

on with some pics. i'll start a "restoration" thread soon enough.

That is a really neat ride. You will really enjoy that boat.
