    Hi All

Anyone have any thought on seat bases? I need to get seat bases to mount my new seats, and possibly the old driver's seat which I might re-cover and keep because it is so comfortable.

Seems like most of the seat bases out there are the pole-mount swivel type. I want a simple rectangular pedestal - perhaps one that adjusts forward and back for the driver station. It doesn't seem like there is much out there that would work very well.

Attached is a picture of the boat seat base for the seat that came with the boat. I'd like to find something similar.

Does anyone have any advice on this topic?

    Thanks!

    Mark,

Have you seen the seat bases like the ones in my boat? A good aluminum fabricator could make them up for you. You can slide a ski or even a wake board under my observer seat.

    OK

I edited my post and put a picture of my existing base on there.

    No, Jim - I don't think I've seen a close-up of your set up.

The thing I don't like about the seat base that was in my boat (the photo above) is that it trapped alot of water under it and my floor was very rotten in that area.

I see that on Overton's there is a seat base (made by Todd, I think) that is low profile and specifically made for ski boats. That would be my first choice right now in terms of something I can buy.

I just walked out the shop and took these. The boat is dirty, sorry. I also will put instrument panel and ski storage pictures up in the proper thread. I have another which I have to reduce. It will take a couple of minutes.

    Mark,

Here is a picture of the drivers seat base the was on my old "Barefoot Hydrodyne" It was a fiberglass base that the seat bolted to. The seat was set on a slider for fore and aft adjustment. The base also had a cut out in it for small storage ( ropes..gloves..etc.)
The base is still available through John's Custom Upolstery (715) 445-2059. He also has another style available for a rear facing (2) person bench seat.

    Mark,

Those are the originals. They could easily be duplicated to fit your seats.
