My 1987 Hydrodyne twin rig did not come with a throttle control.
This is a picture of a Livorsi throttle in thier close out section, the two handles control both the throttle and shift. Would this be good, or just ok, or not the right controls for my boat?

Alot of people like the livorsi for its long throw. This makes very small speed adjustments easy,However they are very pricey. I would suggest looking on e-bay you can usually find a set of yamaha dual binnacle controls for around $150.00. Also look for anti friction cables.

Thanks for the reply. I know the Livorsi is pricy, but to have precise control of a lot of power on a smaller boat, in a show ski setting would be a good thing.

I don't have experience with that particular control as it has shift/throttle in one lever for each motor. Livorsi makes very good stuff, but I think if you want the shift/throttle all in one it is probably more economical to go with an OEM throttle. Not that I would recommend against the Livorsi.

On my single rig I do have a Livorsi control with seperate shift/throttle function and it is awesome for holding speed. Our triple also has this type of setup and it is very nice.

Thanks again for the reply. The reason this particular control was chosen is because there is a closeout on them on the Livorsi website.
