Along with a transom replacement, my Hydrodyne also needs upholestry work. Are upholestry skins available? Patterns for a DIY?
Can I get upholestry with the Hydrodyne logo already sewn in?
Can I get new decals for my boat?

    Daniel,

I had a local vinyl graphics company make up new decals for the "Barefoot Hydrodyne" The originals were all scratched and nicked up from banging the dock and looked bad. Look at the pictures posted and see that they were exact duplicates of the originals.

There were several different seats used. What do yours look like?

The seats that are with my boat, is the two bucket seats, one facing forward, one facing back. Our club also has a dyne with a back facing bench seat, and the upholestry needs attantion in it, also. I would like to build a back facing bench seat foe my boat

    DanielC,

I bought a walking foot sewing machine and I make my own covers and upholstery. If you do two boats you will pay for the machine and get exactly what you want.

If you are interested we can get into the details here.

Jim, Yes, I am interested. There seems to be a lot of DIY going on on this whole board, so the more info out there, the better.

I have two sewing machines, one at my daughter's place (swvski1 on this board) and one here at home. They are both consew 206RB's. I got the last one here:

I use Sunguard UV treated thread. It is available a lot of places here is one:

I use Topgun for boat covers because it is very tough. If you want a little softer material use Sunbrella.

Marine grade vinyl upholstery material is available on the net also. Marine grade foam is expensive. If you elect not to use it then you should wrap each piece of foam in plastic (garbage bag material) and tape well to prevent soaking up water.

I tried cutting my cushoins apart and using the pieces as patterns and that did not work because they had stretched a lot over the years.

    More later.

I bought my seats from Veada Industries. They send a bunch of color swatches and I matched them up to my decals. Then they let me tell them where I wanted the color. The seats are white overall with red and blue accents on the seat and lumbar area to match the stripes on the boat. I thought Veada was nice to work with and the seats look great.
