Close to being finished with the gelcoat removal on the deck. While I'm working on all this, I need to order a few parts: new rubrail from WEFCO (will dye 187-1 work on my '61?) Also need new step pads (both small ones by the front bench seat and both long ones on each side) I also need new cleats (mine are broken or pitted beyond repair). The windshield is split in half, but the frame and hardware are in good condition. Does anyone think I could cut my own plexiglass windshield and fit it to the frame? Let me know if you know where to find these things or if you have any decent items for sale. Thanks everyone!
There is a lot of information on the net about heating and bending plexiglass, even on youtube. The easiest way to solve the windshield problem is to remove it. That is what I did. I think the boats look better without it. You will probably have to use aftermarket cleats and steps. I removed my cleats since the ski ropes catch on them. You could also remove the steps for a cleaner look. jim

Do Twin rigged high speed canoes require windshields? Especially when pulling the East Palmdale Ski Rats Barefoot Act?
