Currently my '74 Dyne has no seats. I'm still looking for a set of original aluminum framed seats, but in the interm I'm thinking of just putting in a set a conventional back to back fold down seats. Does anyone know if the back to back seats that were put in these boats back in the 70's were Wise seats? Kevin
Check out this seat arrangement. The boat is Dynebob's. I believe the seats are from a Mastercraft. If the seat back folds up, it would allow access to the storage in the bow. There could also be storage under the seat bottom. I think it is pretty cool and could be fabricated also. jim
Hi Jim, Those seats are really nice, but not what I'm looking for. The pictures I've seen of the 70's era Dynes (Rickers and others) with the back to back seats appear to have Wise seats. I believe Wise has been around since the 60's so there is a possibilty. Maybe I'll give Tom Miller a call later this week. Kevin
I believe ricker's family installed those seats. I have not seen a dyne with original fold down back to backs. They might be out there though. jim
Rickers seats are not original... I had those fold down seats in the '77 I recently sold. They were aftermarket and were O.K. The construction of the bases were a little flimsey. Bob
Did any Dynes come from the factory with the back to back fold down seats? The picture that sometimes comes up at the top of this site with the 4 beached Hydrodynes all have these type of seat. I figured maybe they were ordered that way? Kevin
A friend of mine I used to do do alot of skiing with had a brand new Dyne built in 1970 and they had those seats in it. They would fold flat into a sun lounger. Bob
True, That is the way mine was purchased. The only thing it had was carpet, it was shipped on a truck with no trailer and when it arrived it was jet black from all of the diesel exhaust hitting it. Daniel
Thanks again for the help guys!! It's nice to come here in the morning with a question and have the info I need by days end. Best to do my homework now and get my "stuff" together for the spring. Kevin
