A great idea! Or some sort of sled-boat could be designed that would dig into the water as the boat pulls it, making it harder and harder to pull, and they could measure the time to pull along a set distance. Of course, the tractor pulls, sponsored by the NTPA, have the benefit of a lot of wealthy farmers, excavators, and contractors. Ski clubs might not be as excited about trashing expensive boats....
