The kids got here last night and by 9:30 this morning we were skiing. Here are some pictures.

My neighbors were out as usual at 7:30 for their slalom session in their Dyne inboard.

Ain't it nice Jim when the kids come home! My son Taylor (the oldest) lives in AZ now, but was transferred to San Diego for the summer. So he can come home for weekend visits easily for a few months with only a 6 hour drive vs 12.

We didn't get a boat day as his friend Billy had his wedding reception yesterday, but we had a great time!

My Mother's Day is complete with all my kids here and Todd is suppose to install my replacement starter on my Johnson. Yippy, my boat will just need some cleaning up, a tank test and I will be off for a great weekend of boating and boating buddies on June 8th at Lake Berryessa here in CA.

    Jim,
What are you doing spending so much time on here while the family is around? I can understand spending time here when you are at work, but you've got playing to do! Or did they head back home already?

They went to the space center and I am on call to receive my son's airshow airplane which is coming in from Australia. My other son is buying his first boat so I am sort of on call for him also.

We ski every other day, and I don't do most of the attractions. I will probably go to the Gardens with them.

    That works out well then.

How does one go about shipping an airplane? My guess would be by first spending a crud load of money. Are we talking slow boat from Australia, or airfreight? Remove the wings? When you receive it, where is it? At the airport where he normally parks it, or do you have to take it there from wherever it shows up? Can I ask any more questions? Did I just answer my own question? By the way, I am bored with work. Can you tell?

He bought a container which is being trucked in from the port. He is not home so I need to show them where to park it.

Good thing the plane is supposed to show up today. Looks like he has to make it to North Carolina by tomorrow.

He is there. He has two planes. The one that is coming in is the one in the pictures on his site. It is the US backup and the foreign show plane. It will probably not be used again until the Saudi Arabia show.

2 wheeler as in bicycle, or moving dolly type 2 wheeler? I would assume bicycle, but the other is fun to ride as well.

Congrats! Now he just need to learn how to do some sweet jumps and get like 3 feet of air (sorry for the napoleon dynamite quote, but couldn't resist). I hope he enjoys it enough to stick with it beyond 16 (when most people quit riding a bike due to the fancy piece of plastic that says they can drive a car). I was lucky enough to be drug back into the cycling world in my low 20's, and continue to enjoy it. Cheap transportation, great exercise, and a bunch of fun, all on 2 wheels!!! Now I just have to figure out how to ride my unicycle that I got over the winter.... I'm not sure you are supposed to wait until you are 30 try to learn to ride a unicycle. Oh well, I'm not always bright, but I am always finding new ways to amuse myself and the people watching me.
