For those of you who have restored you boats, what seats have you put in your boats? I own a 1978 18' hydrodyne and threw my seats away before restoring because I didn't like them at all. I don't know anything about mounting and swivel bases or anything. I'm also looking in to haveing a bench on the observers seat. Thanks for all your help!
Hello 1978 Hydrodyne, Regarding your seats, Most, if not all 1978's had a double observation/judge/timing seat. It was either 1977 or 1978 Hydrodyne went to 4 passinger vs.3. It is a nice set up with 4 and if you cruze this site you will find pictures of each. The material is still manufactored in a white the has a pearl finish to it. Can't tell you the brand but if you bring it to someone who does marine seats he should have samples. I have had my seats re-finished 4 times bring it back each time to factory stock look.
