Hey Greg I'm using a Stilleto 19 with a huge hunk out of one blade but I didn't have time to order a prop before I got up here. I'm thinking about a Mirage 19 or 21. The 19 Stilleto is working great. I pulled 4 good size people up with no sweat. Three big guys deep water slalom start - no problem (although the bow shoots way up at first - I wonder if a wedge would help with that). I ran into a friend of Riverrat's today. Turns out he has had a place on our lake for many years. I just never met him before. He stopped by to ask about the boat - wondering if it was mine. Small world, ain't it? We're headed to Minocqua to watch the ski show. I'll take some pictures of the new blood red Dyna while I'm there. We skiied all day - had a great time. I've got more pictures to post at some point. My airguides are very unreliable. I may need to put clamps on the connections. They work fine on the start of each run and get all wacky by the time I land the skiiers. I think my problem is cheap tubing which stretches at the fittings and then they leak air under pressure. I'll be putting clamps on tomorrow. MarkBano
A wedge will help that and the stilleto has bow lift built into it. A lower pitch will help too. If you can lower the pylon attach point and the rope bar that will help also. jim
Mark, Sam (the guy you met this weekend) is the one from the pictures under the dash. He may be a bit hard to recognize from his picture, but now you know. I'm going to try to head up that way later in august or early september. Hopefully we can meet up. On the bow lift problem, the wedge will help. Proper prop should help as well. The best way to keep the bow down though, is weight up front. A full fuel tank and a spotter larger than 60 lbs (or two + spotters if that's all you have available) will help as well.
