As an avid fan of the Hydrodyne Boats I would like to welcome you to the first site dedicated to the Hydrodyne Company of the Past. This site basicly revolves around the Hydrodyne and Crosby boats, Owners and the skiers behind them. It is a slow process fitting in time to upgrade the site as I have to fit it between work and other fun activities. But with luck by mid-January the site should be up in its entirerty. If you have any suggestions please feel free to drop me a line at admin@hydrodyners.com Thanks, Daniel Jones 1973 Hydrodyne Twin Rig Sporting MERC 1150s
Mr. Jones: Nice site, I will keep and eye on this. The 18 was a classic, I do not think Dad ever new what he created with the hull. He would get a kick out of all of this. Kepp up the good work. ab
Dear Ab. Welcome. I was hoping you would decide to post on here. Please look in the history section and add as much as you can. Daniel will incorporate it I'm sure. It is amazing that the 18 is still state of the art in many respects. Thanks for posting, Jim LeRoy
Ab, Welcome, I have been waiting for you to log on. It is a pleasure to kep the dream alive, in fact I am at the Colorado river as we speak. My Step Dad (The one I bought my boat from and restored) took his first ride and skied behind it in 10 years. Any information you could pass along would be great. Daniel
I have what I beleive to be a Hydrodyne Fish & Ski. It has a Ford 260 Interceptor mated with a Eaton outdrive. I beleive the boat to be a 1963 year model on based on the engine ID numbers. Boat steers from the left side same as a car. I need help regarding the outdrive which needs the bellows or boot replace due to splits in the rubber. Secondly I need help with how to remove the outdrive or how to replace the bellows and how to check the seals ect . I have never removed a outdrive of any kind so any info will be helpful. The outdrive has a emblem /plate on each side which says 165 INTERCEPTOR. A plate located on the outdrive yoke has the serial # 33480 ca 16R26 ,Saginaw Michigan. Do these indicate the Model number? I purchased the boat in fall of 2007. It was overgrown by many years of weeds and the disassembled engine scattered through out an old barn. Need I say more, there are many who know the story of The Labor of Love. Just trying to save a piece of nautical history. The boat is restored and running and I will succeed and over come this problem with the help of the Hydrodyners!!! Thanks
Welcome Travler! There is a wealth of information and incredibly knowledgeable people here. I'm sure you'll get everything all squared away.
