I am putting Yamaha controls on our teams twin rig. It had the Quicksilver (Mercury) series 3000 controls. After hearing several references to a "diode kit" needed to make the three trim switches work, but having some difficulty finding one locally, I decided to strike on on my own. This is the diagram I made to wire one up.
Does any one see any problems with it?

Here is a picture of what I made, but it has had heat shrink added to it after this picture was taken. Sorry, it is only a cell phone camera.

The adapter has been covered with heat shrink tubeing, and I installed it on the Yamaha control box I got from the Beaverdam Must-Skis, Thanks, Erich!
I took the assembly out, and plugged the wires into the twin rig. It seems to work fine. With the handle mounted trim switch, both motors trim up and down. Using the individual controls each motor also seems to trim fine.
