I talked to Tom when I went up to Indiana to pick up the 20' I/O and I echo what jim has to say. I've called him many times over the years throughout my three Dyne rebuilds and he has always been helpful even though I've never bought anything from him.
Thanks for the clarification Jim and everyone else. PJP will not be bashing the competition (nor visiting this forum) anytime soon. :clapping:
Thanks again to all who straightened this out. From my experience, Tom is a great guy to work with, and he knows how to build a boat. I hope he continues building for a long long time! I like that there is competition in the market. I like that there are new options. I like the 50ish years of tradition/experience. I don't like the bashing of the competition.
I spoke to Tom again today about his future plans with regard to boat building. He plans to continue building boats, with no plan to retire. And thank you to my daughter for her key role in this issue. And thank you to Bryan and Daniel for the professional way they handled this. jim
Does get me thinking though, if I ever wanted a new original 18 from Mr. Miller, may be time to get off the pot. Hmmm, how do I sell this one at home ;-)
I just wanted to add that I am very thankful for Daniel and Bryan who keep this sight running and help make it an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Darn it. I missed the whole thing.... I don't even know what happened. Obviously, some posts must have been removed... That will teach me to go a few days without checking the website.....
