Hi all, I'm new to this site, and this is my first post. I have a '64 hydrodyne interceptor, with the 289 interceptor V8. I was wondering if you all might have some information on it, I've looked at fiberglassics.com, but didn't find too much. Thanks in advance. P.S. - Awesome site. It's good to find other folks who share my enthusiasm for these great boats. - Jeremy
I am not familiar with the Interceptor, but there are a few here that may be, and a couple that definitely should be (Ab and Bev). Do you have any pictures of your boat? It would be great if you could post them. Another Jeremy
RiverRat, thanks for the reply, I don't have any pictures at the moment but will try to get some posted in the next day or two. Here's some pics of one that looks similar: It has a 289 ford w/ eaton outdrive, three piece windshield, and is brown on white. Thanks again, - Jeremy
It just occurred to me that the engine cowl on the I/O 'Dynes look very similar to the hood-scoops on pro-street dragsters. Maybe that's why they look so damn cool!
It's a work in progress, I've done a lot, but still have much to do. I just finished putting in a new center stringer, along with a new floor. Next up is carpet & seats, followed by paint, new lexan in the windshield, electric fuel pump (having problems getting enough gas to carburetor, have to pour fuel into carb to start it), and some new gauges. I'll hopefully be close to being finished by this fall.

So can anyone provide any info about this boat? I've searched, but haven't found much, especially about the powerplant. Thanks again! - Jeremy
Jim, Sorry, I don't mean to be a pest, but I'm not having much luck finding any information on the engine. I found one place to buy a manual for it, but that's $70. If you could point me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Jeremy
