Over at Showskiers they have been looking for old footage of acts that are not used as much or at all. I have the footage courtesy of DyneGreg and have started to put it up. The First is of some Clown Action taken at the 1981 State Competition. Check it out. Http://hydrodyners.com/movies.php I have also cleaned up the movie page. Daniel PS More to Come
Better check your audio in the settings area of windows. The levels are exactly the same as the other videos on the site. Daniel
Wow! Does that bring back some childhood memories. I am assuming (based on the powder blue dyne) that this is the Chain Skimmers? I must add, that you were an excellent camera man at 6 years old Greg . Thanks for putting this up Daniel!
Next one up, another by DyneGreg; Badgerland at the 1988 State Finals. http://hydrodyners.com/movies.php PS 80meg file so 3mbps DSL, or 6mbps Cable are a must. FiOS works the best 15mbps. Daniel
One More, Wonderlake final pyramid from the 2007 Nationals courtesy of Jim. http://hydrodyners.com/movies.php Daniel
I'm shocked at how close the boat drives by the shore. How deep could it possibly be 4 feet from the water's edge?
Mark, I think the picture is a little deceiving if you are talking about the Wonder Lake pyramid. He is probably 18 to 20 feet out. A river can drop off fairly steeply and those club drivers usually practice the passes right before the show to check out the site. I talked to the Wonder Lake driver about that boat. The 250 Yamaha's are pretty heavy. He said that he is using 1000 pounds of ballast in the bow. If you notice, the boat does not pitch up with the pyramid. Granted, they do use a low mounted pull point, but that is a big load. jim
