I have a 20ft hydrodyne and am trying to determine its vintage and information on restoration.
The ID plate shows it is a Hydrodyne from Midwestern Industries. Serial number is K690373.
It is a center console model. Current engine is a 1979 Chrysler 85 hp outboard.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum Butch,

I believe Midwestern Industries existed from late 1959 until about 1972. One of the Crosby members might get a little closer. They are not on here much anymore.

You might try sending a PM to crosbygrandson and see if he replies.

Here is a little Dyne history for you. It looks like Midwestern existed before 1959 but they were building Crosbys.

    Check out this link:

I would guess that your boat (without seeing a picture) is a mid to late sixties based on the information in the above link.

That is known as a flat top.

There is a photo section here for those:

    http://www.hydrodyners.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=27

It is in the pictures of your glass section.

In that section they date from the mid 60's to early 70's. I think the 75 is an error.

    That page was the key.
The one I have is the Blitzboat.

    Thanks

The Blitzboat is listed as an 18, but they may have built a 20. Hydrodyne built a ton of different boats back then.

I measured the boat and it is 18 ft. My brother-in-law said it was 20. So it does match
    Thanks for all the help.
    Now to the restoration.
