The hull on that boat is a double layer of balsa with glass in between the layers. I think the first thing would be to check for any water in the balsa core and transom. Tap on the hull and transom with butt end of a wood hammer handle or something similar. A "dead" sound indicated water. A sharp sound is good. jim
