Welcome to almost spring. Attached are a few pictures of my new boat. I haven't picked it up yet. It is still in storage. I bought it from a private owner who donated some of its use to the Aqua Devils in Three Lakes, WI. They lost their twin rig driver so the boat became available and I snatched it up. It is not easy to find used Dyna-Ski boats and I was glad to get the inside track on this one from DyneGreg. It is a 2007 Dyna-Ski with 2010 Etec 225's. The boat was Minocqua's show boat in 2007-08, at which time it had 150 Etec Salty's on it. The boys and I actually went to see the boat in person while snowmobiling - mostly just for fun - but when we saw how nice the boat is we decided to buy it. As far as I know this boat is the only red Dyna-Ski and it is featured in a picture in the company brochure for the 20' closed bow boat (you can see it at www.dyna-ski.com). Believe it or not - I actually took that picture myself at a ski show when the boat was new. I still have my 1989 20' Twin Rig Hydrodyne project but I am not much further along than I was last fall, due in part to a very busy snowmobile season and building two snowmobile engines late last fall. I have bought most of what I need to finish it but just have not had much time yet. I hope to have the new boat next month so that we can get it ready for summer. I will post more pictures then. PJP from Dyna-Ski is getting me new Dyna-Ski decals and ultimately I hope to buy a Skylon tow pole for wakeboarding and a back seat for the boat from Dyna-Ski. My brother will have his 20' Hydrodyne single rig at the lake this summer and of course the Markbano Hydrodyne 18 will still be a regular workhorse on our beach - so it will be fun to have the full historical lineup of these awesome outboard ski boats right at our fingertips. I hope to post a lot of great pictures this summer as we compare the three styles of boats in day-to-day skiing. For now - enjoy these... Markbano
Can't see in the pics, so make sure it has some grab handles for the spotter. That thing should be able to toss the spotter out the back. I like to give new riders one zero G ride on the seat to wake them up. If they don't learn to use the grab handles after that, they may be in the back of the boat. Have fun with it!!!!
Mark, I have some W.C.H. vinyl decals that you were wanting for the boat made. I just need to know whether you want white or black..... Greg
Greg I'm doing the new Dyna-Ski decals in black but most everything else I'm doing in white. So white would be great! Thanks! Tim I don't know for sure what to do with my 20' TM boat. It has very good bones and I have already spent a lot on parts, fiberglass, non-skid, trailer parts, etc. I suspect that I'll just plug away and finish the boat as planned and then figure out whether to sell it or put engines on it and keep it.
